Mexico Issues Preliminary Anti-Dumping Ruling on Hollow Profile Products from China

On December 31, 2025, Mexico’s Ministry of Economy issued a notice announcing a preliminary affirmative anti-dumping ruling on finished and semi-finished hollow profile products (in Spanish: perfiles huecos de aluminio, including both final and temporary ones) originating from China and the United States. The preliminary decision imposes provisional anti-dumping duties on the products in question, with a duty rate of US$1.88 per kilogram for products imported from China and US$1.62 per kilogram for products imported from the United States. The tariff classification code for these products under the TIGIE system is 7604.21.01. The measures take effect from the day following the publication of the notice and will remain in force for a period of four months.
Stakeholders shall submit their comments on the case and any supplementary materials within 20 working days starting from the day following the date of publication of the announcement.
On March 5, 2025, Mexico initiated an anti-dumping investigation into finished and semi-finished hollow structural profiles originating from China and the United States. The dumping investigation period for this case is from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, while the injury investigation period spans from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024.
